For years, I built my career in insurance, legal, and risk management, working within the very systems designed to mitigate loss and protect individuals. When I finally set out to retire and build my dream farm in Maui, Hawaii, I expected a new chapter of peace and purpose in the farm I designed.

Instead, I was met with waves of deception, fraud, and outright theft—first from someone I trusted, then from neighbors whose level of darkness defies words….
These neighbors, the Nussbaums, were master manipulators, aligning themselves with someone I once considered a life partner who turned out to be a catfish or rather I was ‘catfished‘. Together, they shut down my Maui construction project, weaving a web of lies and using the judicial system as a weapon. But that was only Act One.
Act Two arrived in the form of a longtime client, Kathryn Ann Knutson, the company’s controller, and big boss Michael Shidinius. For over a decade, I had insured their business, never imagining they would pretend to be my saviors while plotting my downfall. They befriended me, gained my trust, and convinced me they were protecting me from both my former partner and the Neighbors – Nussbaums. Then, just ten days after celebrating a wedding at my home in Grand Lake, Colorado, they revealed their true nature.
When I flew to Hawaii, I found Knutson and Shidinius’ wife lounging in my pool like a pair of beached whales. The locks had been changed. A forged ‘’Redemption Agreement’ was presented—a document I supposedly signed, giving away my entire property with no compensation whatsoever. Shocked and blindsided, I was forced into legal battles overnight—hunting for shelter, scrambling to find an attorney, and fighting to reclaim what was rightfully mine.
But what followed was not justice—it was an orchestrated hijacking.
They teamed up with the U.S. Court-Appointed Trustee, sold the property, and over $250,000 in personal property vanished without explanation. Despite years of demanding accounting—from the DOJ to the FBI, the Inspector General, and Senators—nothing has been done as I face my 5th year of this battle.
In 2022, Retired Judge Brown acknowledged the fraud. In a May 3, 2022 hearing (Transcript Link Here), she specifically stated that the Trustee had no right to withhold my claims and had a duty to demand proceeds from the sale on behalf of Celestial Properties, my single-member entity that designed, funded, and built the Maui farm at 1450 Oka Kope. And yet—nothing.

The bankruptcy system has become a cottage industry, preying on the vulnerable, swallowing assets, and rewriting reality in plain sight. I may be one small cog in this wheel of injustice, but this machine must be broken at every level.
